FAQ
What is a preset?
A preset is a filter for your photos. They are called presets because they are made within Adobe Lightroom and are “pre” decided “setting” that can give your photos a certain look and feel.
What is the difference between a normal preset and a mobile preset?
Great question!
Normal presets are used on a desktop computer. For a normal preset you can still apply it if you shoot in jpeg format, but you will get the best results possible if you shoot in RAW (more about shooting in RAW below). You will also need a desktop computer and Adobe Lightroom (usually $15/month). A normal preset is a preset that you install into Adobe Lightroom (for you desktop). Once the preset is installed you then apply it, make tweaks, export the picture, and then share it!
Mobile presets are used on your phone. For a mobile preset you will need to download the FREE mobile Lightroom app.
Do I need Adobe Lightroom?
For the mobile presets you will only need to download the FREE mobile Lightroom app on your phone.
What is the refund policy?
No refunds, returns, or trades. I know it seems harsh but once you make the purchase you will have access to the preset files. Please make sure they are what you want before you purchase:)
What is the difference between the old ockeydockey mobile presets and the new ones?
We only had 2 mobile presets before and now we have 7!! The biggest difference is that they reflect my current style of editing!! I released the old presets 2 years ago so the old presets reflect that style of editing! Since I am constantly learning and improving editing these ones are more versatile and vibrant and more of a 1 click edit!
Can I buy these presets if I don’t live in the United States of America?
Yes! :) To purchase these presets you just need a credit card, a debit card, a PayPal account, or use Apply Pay. That’s it and you can be anywhere in the world!
What if my photos don’t look exactly like the ones I see on @ockeydockey’s Instagram?
Here is a video I made that shows how I apply my Adobe Lightroom presets:
Each photo is different and is taken with different lighting, settings, cameras, and lenses. All these play a role in how a photo will turn out. Although your photos may look slightly different, my presets will put you at a great starting point and small will allow you to create photos will a very similar look and feel! :) I can’t wait to see what you come up with! Use #ockeydockeypresets on Instagram:) I would love to shout out some of my favorite pictures in my story!
How do I put the presets on Lightroom Mobile? (Step by step videos)
On a desktop computer, open the email that was sent to you with the mobile presets.
Download the zip file. Once downloaded, double click on the zip file and another file will appear.
Go inside that new file and the presets should be inside. If you have a Mac, airdrop each file to your phone. If you have a PC, email each file individually to yourself and then download them to your phone one by one by accessing your email from your phone.
Open the Lightroom Mobile App on your phone and import each file from your phones pictures to Lightroom Mobile. Note, the files will look white! That is normal. Once each file is imported, you will see the picture of each file in the Lightroom Mobile app.
Each imported picture contains one preset. Now that each preset has been imported to your Lightroom Mobile app, it’s time to name them and add them to a “Preset Group”.
Get to the “All Photos” section within your Lightroom Mobile app. Click on one of the preset you imported (it should be a picture with text and have DNG in the top right corner). Once you’ve selected one of the pictures it will appear larger on your screen.
Click in the top right corner on the three dots. Select “Create Preset”. It will then prompt you to add a “Preset Name” and add a “Preset Group”. I would suggest you name the presets the names I’ve already given them like: ockeydockey greenery, ockeydockey blues, ect. (the names are on the preset picture if you forget). I also suggest the you make the preset group “ockeydockey presets”. Once you selected each preset, named it, and added it to the same “Preset Group” you will have all the presets in your Lightroom Mobile app ready to use! :)
How do I apply a mobile preset to a picture on my phone? (Step by step videos)
